About Walter Mann and Avanti

Walter Mann has been involved with sports car racing for over 30 years, and continues to race and instruct at different venues including Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) driver's schools for licensing. Walter racing in a touring car class AHe has won numerous SCCA Championships driving Corvettes, an assortment of Porsches including an RS61, and open-wheel race cars. He is currently campaigning an ITA car in the SCCA series. He is a past Northern NJ SCCA Trustee, member of Porsche Club of America (PCA), a National Drivers Education PCA instructor and Senior Instructor at New Jersey Motorsports Park. Walter's other interest are flying and sailing, both licensed pilot and certified Coast Guard Captain.

Walter was the owner of a printing company for 33 years. After retiring in 1996 he joined Driving Dynamics, a major driving school for corporate driver training as Lead Instructor.

In 2008 he started Avanti Alive at "25" specializing in program for defensive and advanced driving skills for teens. He is authorized by the State of New Jersey for defensive driving and behind-the-wheel training programs for point and insurance premium reduction.
